Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Preston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Gamble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gamble has chosen Sexy Back - Justin Timberlake as his entrance music. Sam Gamble is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Preston! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sam Gamble! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Preston misses with a low kick.
Gamble misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gamble bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Gamble tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gamble has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Gamble stands up and we're back to a striking position. A low kick from Gamble misses and Preston makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Gamble throws a sloppy head kick and Preston counters with a nice leg kick. Gamble fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Preston has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Gamble thumps Preston with a low kick. Gamble shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Preston but Preston pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Preston looks for the body kick but Gamble saw that one coming. Nice body kick there by Preston. Gamble goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Preston misses with a head kick.
Preston lands a head kick!
Gamble throws a sloppy head kick and Preston moves out of range easily. Preston throws a leg kick and Gamble counters with a straight right hand. Preston pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Preston takes a jab right on the kisser.
Gamble cracks the inside of Preston's front leg. Gamble throws a series of punches but Preston avoids them all with ease. Gamble fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A right-left combo lands from Gamble. Gamble tries a head kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Preston misses with a low kick as Gamble jumps back. Gamble throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Preston looks for the body kick but Gamble saw that one coming. Preston throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Preston throws a leg kick which misses Gamble's front leg but catches the back leg as Gamble tries to avoid it. A combination from Gamble does no damage. That kick from Gamble tenderised Preston's leg. Preston is trying to keep his angry face on. Preston gets off balance looking for a body kick and Gamble finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Preston gets off balance looking for a body kick and Gamble counters with a nice double leg into guard. Preston knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gamble on the ground. Gamble controlling from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gamble tries to free his leg and advance position but Preston is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gamble is looking to advance position but Preston has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Gamble is squirming around, avoiding Preston's attempts to control the action. Gamble working to try and regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gamble tries to lock up and control but Preston gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gamble looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gamble is in bad spot here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Gamble dominated that round. That's time! Preston's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Preston misses with a low kick as Gamble jumps back. A good leg kick by Gamble. Preston throws a body kick the misses and Gamble counters with a takedown into side control. Gamble decides to stand back up. Gamble steps back and let's Preston get back to his feet. Gamble throws a leg kick but Preston sees it coming and checks it nicely. Preston tries to land a body kick and Gamble counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Preston's guard now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gamble stands up and waves to Preston to follow him. Gamble fails to land the takedown. Gamble ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Preston moves away. Preston wants to slow Gamble down by chopping away at his legs. Preston displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gamble.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gamble tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gamble misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gamble scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Preston doesn't seem bothered though. Gamble throws the kick towards the body but Preston avoids it. Preston misses with a kick to the body and Gamble counters with a nice low kick that buckles Preston's knee momentarily. Preston throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Gamble is breathing heavily. A head kick misses from Gamble. Preston slaps away a takedown attempt from Gamble, before circling back to the center of the mat. John Preston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Gamble. Preston fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gamble has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Preston throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Preston delivers a nice body kick. Gamble takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Preston lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Preston throws a half hearted mid kick. Sam Gamble seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Preston gets off balance looking for a body kick and Gamble counters with a stiff right hand. Preston throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Gamble stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Preston. Gamble on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Gamble avoids a kick to the body.

Preston throws a chopping leg kick but Gamble manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Preston lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gamble has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gamble and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Gamble avoids a kick to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Preston misses with the body kick and Gamble counters with a two punch combo. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Preston checks a leg kick. John Preston is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gamble shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Preston as he avoids it easily. Preston throws a head kick that half lands.
Preston misses with a body kick. Both fighters circling a little - Preston finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Sam Gamble is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Preston throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Gamble counters with a one-two to the body. Preston pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gamble tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Preston throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Preston throws a low kick, looking for Gamble's leg but Gamble calmly moves out of range. Preston misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Preston throws a leg kick but Gamble sees it coming and checks it nicely. Gamble throws a right and a left that Preston avoids nicely. Preston throws a push kick but Gamble slaps the foot to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Preston tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Preston fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gamble. Preston showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gamble.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gamble checks a leg kick. Preston is looking to slow Gamble down with leg kicks. Gamble checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Preston tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gamble misses with the combination.

John Preston dominated that second round. That's time! Preston's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Gamble shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Gamble's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Preston throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Gamble on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Preston. Preston obviously looking to wear him down.
Preston misses with a kick to the body.
Gamble lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Preston misses with a head kick.
Preston fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gamble. Preston throws a leg kick that is checked and Gamble counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Preston! Preston is squirming around, avoiding Gamble's attempts to control the action. Gamble takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Preston trying desperately to get to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gamble tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Poor strikes thrown by Gamble there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gamble can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Preston is looking to escape. Gamble stands up from mount. Strange move. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Preston crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gamble - the referee stops the clock and Preston gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gamble. Preston manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Gamble lands a leg kick that knocks Preston off balance momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Preston misses with a kick to the body.
Preston throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Gamble counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gamble. Gamble is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Gamble decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Preston pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gamble misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Preston throws a half hearted mid kick. Gamble tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Preston swivels and escapes. Both fighters circling a little - Gamble finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Preston gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Preston keeping moving, preventing Gamble from controlling successfully. Preston wants to sweep here but Gamble controlling him for the moment. Gamble throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam Gamble comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Gamble has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
