The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Matthews.
Matthews uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Duffy.
A head kick misses from Duffy.
Matthews looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Matthews misses with a looping left.
Duffy looks to throw the jab but Matthews is out of range.
Duffy misses the shot to the body.
Matthews jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Matthews lands a nice shot that snaps Duffy's head back.
Matthews dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Matthews takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Matthews misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Duffy counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Duffy throws a sloppy body shot
and Matthews counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Matthews takes a swing at Duffy's ribcage but misses.
Matthews misses with the combination.
Nice uppercut lands for Duffy. That snapped Matthews's head back.
Duffy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Duffy throws a nice looking combination but Matthews bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Duffy takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Duffy throws a right hand that Matthews ducks under and follows up with a left that Matthews also avoids with ease.
Duffy ducks under a wild hook from Matthews.
Matthews fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Matthews lands an overhand right.
Duffy looks gassed!
Duffy throws a looping overhand right but Matthews ducks down to avoid it.
Duffy on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A decent looking cross lands there for Matthews.
Duffy is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Matthews steps in with a hook that catches Duffy right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Matthews follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Duffy looks absolutely devastated.
