Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Kroad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luke Kroad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Evans! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kroad has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Luke Kroad has been cut. Oh, that's a big right hand from Evans and Kroad goes tumbling to the canvas! Evans follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Kroad is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kroad is looking for a sweep. Evans is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Evans looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kroad wants to get back to full guard. Kroad blocking the ground and pound attempt from Evans. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Evans seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Evans connects with a nice short shot to Kroad's temple. Evans winds up and cracks Kroad with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Evans is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Evans scoring with strikes to the body and head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kroad looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kroad is trying to improve his position. Evans shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kroad sprawls well. Kroad wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Evans gets slowly back to his feet. Kroad tries for a takedown but Evans circles away easily and Evans counters with a takedown into side control. Evans lands a few punches from side control. Kroad tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Evans wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Evans working the ground and pound. Kroad takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Evans looks up at the clock and then as Kroad takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Evans smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Kroad throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Evans gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kroad counters with a shoot takedown. Evans fights it but they end up in guard. Kroadis looking to pass into half guard but Evans pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Evans is in guard. Kroad wants to get back to his feet but Evans is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Evans is standing up over Kroad. Kroad looks to escape but Evans dives into side control.

Evans decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kroad to his feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Evans is defended easily by Kroad. Luke Kroad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Evans. This has been an exciting period of action! Kroad darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Kroad looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Kroad working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Evans's thigh. Evans counters though and makes it back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evans managing to control the position. Evans trying to control the position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Evans kicks Kroad off and gets to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Evans misses with a two punch combination.

Kroad drives through and clinches with Evans against the cage.
Kroad manages to break the clinch.
Kroad takes the fight into the clinch. Kroad is pressed up against the cage. Evans has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kroad down to the mat. Kroad avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Evans will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kroad drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kroad working away. Luke Kroad has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Evans parries the strikes from Kroad easily there. Kroad is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Evans to escape.
And that's the end of the fight! John Evans comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Evans winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
