Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dustin Smash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Beaker! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smash throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Beaker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Smash looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Smash is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Smash knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beaker on the ground. Beaker scores with a couple of short elbows. Smash is trying to buck Beaker off. Smash struggling a bit here. Beaker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smash keeps working. Beaker tries for a kimura but Smash is defending well. Beaker cracks Smash with a big right hand but Smash just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Beaker trying to control the action but Smash is working from the bottom. Smash is trying to control Beaker's posture but Beaker avoids it. Beaker tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beaker is looking to take a break and control but Smash is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Smash wants to get back to his feet. Beaker cracks Smash with a big elbow. Beaker cracks Smash with an elbow. That is naaassty. Smash is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Smash on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Beaker lands an elbow. Beaker tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Beaker scores with a couple of short elbows. Beaker is working Smash over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Smash can't do much from the bottom here. Beaker scoring with punches from side control. Smash taking a bit of punishment here - Beaker scoring with strikes.
Smash is rocked! Beaker scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Smash is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Beaker can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
