Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Alonzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhamad Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: rocky. Alejandro Alonzo had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alonzo looks to score with a jab to the body but Tyson is just out of range.
Alonzo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Tyson tries to bench press Alonzo off him but Alonzo keeps the position.
Tyson chipping away with strikes from the bottom.
Tyson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Tyson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tyson.
Tyson is striking from the bottom but Alonzo uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

Tyson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Alonzo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tyson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tyson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Alonzo has passed into side control.
Tyson is looking for a sweep.

Tyson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Alonzo tries to score with some ground and pound. Tyson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Tyson looks to move to half guard but instead Alonzo has passed into mount! Damn!
Tyson tries to reverse the position but Alonzo maintains control.
Alonzo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Alonzo moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Tyson has worked his arm free - good work by Tyson!

Tyson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alonzo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Alonzo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Tyson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alonzo manages to get himself to full guard.
Tyson throws a big right hand that misses.
Alonzo is looking for a triangle but Tyson pushes his legs off easily.
Tyson stands up over Alonzo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Tyson tries to stand but Alonzo is controlling from the bottom.

Tyson is looking to stand up but Alonzo won't let him.
Alonzo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tyson is controlling him.

Tyson stands and steps away. Alonzo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Tyson wants to clinch up but Alonzo keeps it at a distance.
Tyson avoids the head kick by Alonzo.

That was a close round but I would say that Alejandro Alonzo will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tyson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Alonzo swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tyson.

and Tyson counters with a three punch combo that has Alonzo backing up. Alonzo nods at Tyson to acknowledge the strikes.

Oh Alonzo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alonzo decides to pull guard.
Alonzo seems to have got his legs back now.
Tyson with a flurry of punches that miss.
Alonzo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Alonzo has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tyson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Tyson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Alonzo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Alonzo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Alonzo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Alonzo lands a couple of elbows.

Alonzo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tyson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tyson has escaped and now he's on top!
Alonzo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tyson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tyson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tyson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Alonzo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tyson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Tyson is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Alonzo still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Alonzo has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Alonzo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tyson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Tyson lands with a big left! Alonzo is wobbled badly! Tyson comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Alonzo to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
