PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenneth McGoldstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Brock St Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGoldstein has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenneth McGoldstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Brock St Rock!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Rock stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and St Rock wants it to stay on the feet.
McGoldstein is breathing heavily.
McGoldstein keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McGoldstein tries to clinch up but St Rock circles away and keeps his distance.

St Rock gets a takedown into half guard.
St Rock wants to pass the guard but McGoldstein is defending well.
St Rock trying to control from McGoldstein's half guard. McGoldstein has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
St Rock pushes down on McGoldstein's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
St Rock wants to lay and pray for a moment but McGoldstein keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McGoldstein might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
St Rock tries to stand and escape but McGoldstein is controlling the position.
St Rock is looking to take a break and control but McGoldstein is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

OK we're going to have a standup here. John Brock St Rock hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as McGoldstein checks a leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

St Rock bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

St Rock has hold of McGoldstein's arm. He's looking for a kimura. McGoldstein seems comfortable defending it but St Rock has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! McGoldstein is real pain and he's forced to tap out! McGoldstein is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but St Rock couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). John Brock St Rock!
