Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Calvagh Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyron Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyron Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Calvagh Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kyron Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kyron Gracie was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Reed will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reed swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Reed is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back!
Gracie wants to get back to his feet.
Gracie has hold of Reed's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reed is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Reed gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Reed gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Reed apologises and we restart here on the feet.
