Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paulo SIlva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masakatsu Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomi has chosen Lose Yourself as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SIlva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gomi pinned against the cage. Gomi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
SIlva fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gomi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo SIlva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
SIlva has a takedown stuffed.
Paulo SIlva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
SIlva closes the distance and clinches up with Gomi, looking for a takedown. SIlva pushes Gomi against the cage but Gomi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gomi lands with an uppercut that bounces SIlva off the cage and back into rage.
Gomi lands a two punch combo.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gomi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from SIlva.
SIlva is breathing heavily.
Gomi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
SIlva is rocked!
SIlva tries for a takedown but Gomi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Oh SIlva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
BOOM! Gomi lands a beautiful left hook that drops SIlva. SIlva tries to recover but Gomi is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and SIlva lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Masakatsu Gomi!
