Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Smoke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolay Voronov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Smoke might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to John E Smoke. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voronov looks for a takedown but Smoke sprawls well.
Voronov shoots in but no luck this time.
Voronov tries to bum rush Smoke with a series of wild strikes but Smoke uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Smoke lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Voronov circles away quickly and effectively.
Smoke shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Voronov scores with a jab to the jaw.
Smoke misses with a jab, cross combination.
Voronov throws a right hand that Smoke ducks under and follows up with a left that Smoke also avoids with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smoke defending well as Voronov loads up on a big left hand.
Voronov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Smoke listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
It looks like Nikolay Voronov has been cut.
Smoke looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Smoke shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Smoke showed some decent athleticism there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Johnny Smoke.
Smoke keeps the fight on the outside.
Voronov shoots and misses
and Smoke counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Johnny Smoke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nikolay Voronov.
Voronov looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smoke perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Smoke drops an elbow to the side of Voronov's head.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Johnny Smoke wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Smoke waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Voronov. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Voronov to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Voronov is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smoke content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Smoke not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Smoke's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Smoke has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Johnny Smoke has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Smoke throws a body punch but Voronov moves out of range.
Smoke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Voronov moves away.
Smoke moves into the clinch successfully.
Nice elbow from Smoke.
That has opened up Nikolay Voronov's cut even more.
Smoke lands an elbow inside that Voronov shrugs off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smoke lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Voronov backwards.
The cut above Nikolay Voronov's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Smoke misses with some punches.
Voronov tries a knee to the head but Smoke blocks it.
Smoke lands an elbow inside that Voronov shrugs off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Smoke shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Smoke pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Voronov is breathing heavily.
Smoke looking to isolate an arm here. Voronov doesn't see it coming and as Smoke extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Smoke!
