Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between steve austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Starr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). austin comes to the cage accompanied by shattered dreams. Jordan Starr has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starr dives in and grabs austin's left leg, looking for a takedown. austin pushes down on Starr's head and hops out.
Starr pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Starr looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Starr throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like steve austin has been cut.
austin throws a lazy head kick
and Starr counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Nice takedown defense from austin. No joy for Starr on that attempt.
steve austin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Starr.
Starr shoots in and gets a takedown into austin's guard.
austin pulls Starr in close to his closed guard and prevents Starr from doing any damage or advancing position.
Starr prevents austin from getting back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Starr feints and as austin raises his hands in defense, Starr changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
austin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Starr is aware though and is defending well.

Starr working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Starr decides to take the fight back to the feet.
austin doesn't manage to clinch there - Starr circles away.
austin swings for the body but Starr moves out of range.
austin leaves Starr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
austin has Starr up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
austin has had enough of the clinch but Starr keeps him there for the moment.
Starr manages to break the clinch.
austin gets cracked there but stands up to it.

austin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Starr is trying to defend but austin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Starr has one foot on austin's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Starr - that will leave a mark!

austin turns into Starr and is now in his guard.

Starr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst austin is controlling him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
