Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Geistman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacare Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Geistman comes into the arena with Twist blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Scott Geistman has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Geistman as he avoids it easily.
Geistman throws a solid leg kick but Souza takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Geistman.

Geistman drops Souza with a beautiful combination! Souza stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Geistman is looking for the KO!
It looks like Jacare Souza has been cut.
Souza shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Geistman is trying to control the position but Souza postures up.
Souza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Geistman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Souza throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Geistman blocks it with crossed arms.

Scott Geistman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Souza drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Souza wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Geistman, who protects the arm well.
Souza thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
You can see the frustration on Geistman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Souza has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Geistman!

Souza has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Geistman has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
