Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Akira Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Fredin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Sakurai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, William Fredin! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fredin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sakurai as he avoids it easily. Sakurai changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Sakurai swings for the body but Fredin moves out of range.
Sakurai lands with an uppercut that bounces Fredin off the ropes and back into rage. Fredin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sakurai lands a couple of elbows. Fredin throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sakurai uses it to pass to side control.
Sakurai looks up at the clock and then as Fredin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sakurai smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Fredin is trying to improve his position. Sakurai scores with punches from side control. Sakurai is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fredin has escaped the position, nice work there. Fredin takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Check out the look on Sakurai's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Sakurai tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Sakurai working the head and body with strikes. Fredin tries to bench press Sakurai off him but Sakurai keeps the position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Sakurai looks up at the clock and then as Fredin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sakurai smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
This has been an exciting period of action! Fredin tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fredin is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Sakurai is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fredin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Fredin is looking to reverse the position. Fredin gets back to half guard. Sakurai wants to pass the guard but Fredin is defending well. Fredin tries to roll over but Sakurai keeps him under control. Fredin looks gassed! Sakurai works his way into full mount! Fredin regains half guard. Sakurai takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Fredin gets full guard. Sakurai trying to control but Fredin is working from the bottom. Fredin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Fredin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sakurai gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fredin throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Fredin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Fredin forces the positional change into back control. Fredin looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Sakurai taps!
