Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Rasmussen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lesnar has chosen Knockout as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rasmussen checks a low kick from Lesnar. Rasmussen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lesnar doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rasmussen counters with a shoot takedown. Lesnar fights it but they end up in guard. Rasmussen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Rasmussen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rasmussen content to stall in guard here.

Rasmussen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rasmussen slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Rasmussen preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lesnar is trying to control. Rasmussen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Lesnar is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Lesnar throwing shots but Rasmussen is blocking nicely. Lesnar wants to free his trapped foot but Rasmussen is holding on for dear life with his legs. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rasmussen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lesnar throws a body kick that misses. Rasmussen with a poor takedown and Lesnar counters with a takedown into side control. Lesnar is putting a hurting on Rasmussen here, landing some big shots from side control. Rasmussen is trying to control Lesnar's posture but Lesnar avoids it. Rasmussen tries to bench press Lesnar off him but Lesnar keeps the position. Lesnar trying to control the action but Rasmussen is working from the bottom. Rasmussen tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Lesnar presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Lesnar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Lesnar tries to control but Rasmussen wriggling away. Lesnar wants to take Rasmussen's back but he can't do it this time. Lesnar controlling the position easily from mount.

Rasmussen could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lesnar has hold of Rasmussen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rasmussen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lesnar controlling the position easily from mount. Rasmussen tries to hold on but Lesnar postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar trying to control but he's not successful this time. Rasmussen tries to lock up and control but Lesnar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Rasmussen is trying to reverse the position but instead Lesnar has taken his back - oops! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A lull in the action here.
Lesnar is striking from the back but Rasmussen escapes and manages to recover to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lesnar is keen to just control but Rasmussen is a slippery customer. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Lesnar wants to free his trapped foot but Rasmussen is holding on for dear life with his legs. Lesnar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lesnar is trying to control. Rasmussen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brock Lesnar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Rasmussen with a lazy takedown attempt and Lesnar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rasmussen won't be happy with that. Lesnar is staying tight to Rasmussen's torso, preventing him from escaping. Lesnar decides to take the fight back to the feet. Lesnar tries for a takedown but Rasmussen circles away easily and Rasmussen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rasmussen. Lesnar is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lesnar will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar is trying to hold Rasmussen in close to prevent damage but Rasmussen has managed to pass into half guard.
Rasmussen with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Lesnar wants to get back to full guard. Rasmussen is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Lesnar wants to improve his position but Rasmussen is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lesnar looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rasmussen in particular looking to stall. Lesnar trying to control here.

Lesnar looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lesnar looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Brock Lesnar. Well Lesnar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
