Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kin Ring Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lee's choice of entrance music: Everythings in it's right place. Freddy Lee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sackett looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Freddy Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee misses with a hook. Sackett keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lee. Lee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Sackett buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sackett gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Lee connects with a right hand. Sackett shakes it off. Lee throws a looping overhand right but Sackett ducks down to avoid it. A momentary lapse in concentration from Sackett enables Lee to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sackett manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Sackett is retaining full guard. Lee stands and throws Sackett's legs to the side, diving into side control. Lee working away. Sackett swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Lee drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sackett manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lee has Sackett in his guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Lee is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Lee is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sackett lands with an overhand left. A solid leg kick lands there for Sackett.

Sackett lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Sackett avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Lee tries for a takedown but Sackett sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Sackett lands with a hook. Lee tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Sackett bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Sackett tries to move to mount but Lee blocks the move with his legs. Lee seems to have recovered his senses. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Sackett has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Sackett fails to land with a series of punches.
Sackett scores with the left hand. Lee knows he should have avoided that one. Sackett uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lee. Lee throws a big shot that misses. Sackett waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lee. Sackett connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Sackett wanted to stand there but Lee had control of the position. Lee has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sackett is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lee. Lee can't do much from the bottom here. Lee is trying to get back to half guard. Sackett thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sackett connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lee some visible discomfort.

Sackett pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Sackett looking to finish Lee with some ground and pound. This is bad for Lee! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lee wants to hold on but Sackett pushes him away. Lee is in a horrible position here. Sackett smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Sackett bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lee's head. Sackett connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Sackett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sackett breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sackett lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Jab from Sackett. Sackett scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Sackett drops Lee with a left right combo! Sackett follows him down to the ground into side control.

Sackett wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working. Sackett is trying to get an arm triangle but Lee is defending well. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.
