Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Cote's choice of entrance music: Slaughterhouse-The One. The key to victory for Isaac Moore has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Isaac Moore!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Cote!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore looks for a takedown but Cote sprawls well.
Cote keeps the fight on the outside.
Moore tries to clinch but Cote moves out of range.
Cote showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Moore.
Cote stuffs the takedown.
Moore looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Isaac Moore. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Moore closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Moore lands in his opponent's guard.

Cote is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cote has his feet on Moore's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Moore changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cote looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Moore wants to control but Cote is keeping him busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moore is breathing heavily.

Cote has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moore can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cote manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cote tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Cote tries to control but Moore wriggling away.

Cote is persistently looking for the submission but Moore is defending it well.
Moore breaks Cote's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Moore thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Moore stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cote swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Moore makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Moore throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cote works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cote is on top in guard.
Moore controls Cote momentarily but Cote frees himself.
Moore looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Moore preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Cote wants to control from the top but Moore keeps moving.
Moore manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Cote dominated that round.

Cote drops back, looking for a kneebar! Moore looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Moore looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Moore!
Cote is looking for a sweep.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Cote looking for a sweep but Moore has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Cote is squirming around, avoiding Moore's attempts to control the action.
Moore manages to capitalize on a mistake by Cote to take his back!
Moore controls the position.
Cote is trying to break free.
Cote is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Cote breaks Moore's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Cote pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Moore is keeping the position for now.
Cote showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Cote works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Cote seems to be looking for submissions.
Cote slips a nice elbow through Moore's hands, connecting with Moore's forehead.
Cote content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Cote winds up and cracks Moore with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Cote is trying to control the action in half guard but Moore is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Cote is taking a breather. Moore says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Cote seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Ground and pound from Cote.
Cote wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moore keeps working.
Cote lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Moore is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Moore keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Moore trying to hold on to Cote's head to control him but Cote postures up.
Cote looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Moore lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Cote can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Moore and Cote drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Moore.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Isaac Moore!
