The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tequila fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jack Tequila seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Tequila. Those never looked like landing.
Thomas throws a head kick that misses.
Tequila tries to close the distance and clinch but Thomas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Thomas avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tequila is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
No joy there for Thomas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tequila stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tequila wants it to stay on the feet.
Tequila shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Thomas napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Tequila has hold of Thomas's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Thomas seems comfortable defending it but Tequila has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Thomas is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Thomas is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Tequila couldn't care less - he's delighted!
