Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Sheppard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy mole! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sheppard gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Sheppard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sheppard darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. mole wants to get back to full guard. Sheppard is taking a breather. mole says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. mole tries to roll over but Sheppard keeps him under control. Sheppard is nestled in close to mole, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Sheppard controlling the action here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Adam Sheppard just wasn't active enough. mole throws a head kick that misses. mole tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Sheppard counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for mole! Sheppard is breathing heavily. mole tries to lock up and control but Sheppard gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sheppard looking to control and managing it successfully. Sheppard has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of mole's face.
Sheppard takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sheppard with good strikes from the mount here! Sheppard controlling the position easily from mount. Sheppard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sheppard landing strikes from the mount and mole is in trouble! mole takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sheppard controlling his opponent. Sheppard lands a nice shot to the head. Sheppard looking to control and managing it successfully. Sheppard has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Sheppard's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Sheppard scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sheppard controlling the position easily from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sheppard scores with a takedown into mole's guard. Sheppard controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Sheppard seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down mole for as long as he can get away with. Sheppard stands up from guard. Let's bang! Sheppard darts in and clinches mole up against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sheppard pulls mole into guard.
Sheppard seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Sheppard manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. mole manages to get himself to full guard.
Adam Sheppard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sheppard throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. mole tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sheppard is in mole's guard. mole can't keep his opponent in guard - Sheppard advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. mole tries to kick Sheppard off but Sheppard keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Sheppard is controlling the pace.

A right-left combo lands from Sheppard. mole with a poor takedown and Sheppard counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Sheppard throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. mole tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sheppard is in mole's guard. Sheppard is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Sheppard closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. mole did well to prevent Sheppard getting side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sheppard is taking a breather. mole says something to him but it's hard to make out. Sheppard pulls mole in close to prevent any damage. mole looking to sit in guard and control but Sheppard gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Sheppard is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Sheppard works a leg free and moves into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sheppard passes to full mount! Sheppard looking to control and managing it successfully. Sheppard landing punches. Sheppard lands a big shot there that rocks mole but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sheppard is landing with some decent strikes but mole is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Sheppard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that mole can do to turn this around? mole in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Sheppard swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
