Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Jr Emilianko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacare Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emilianko comes into the arena with PRIDE > UFC blaring out of the sound system. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emilianko throws a head kick that misses.
Souza works the jab nicely.
Souza tries to clinch but Emilianko moves out of range.
Emilianko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Souza circles away quickly and effectively.
Souza ducks under a wild hook from Emilianko.

and Emilianko counters with a slapping leg kick.
Jacare Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Emilianko tries a head kick but it misses.
Souza throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Emilianko gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

and Souza counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Emilianko takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Souza throws an overhand right that lands on Emilianko's shoulder, as Emilianko tries to avoid the shot.

and Emilianko counters with a thumping low kick.
Emilianko scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Souza has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Emilianko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Souza.
Souza throws a hook but Emilianko blocks it.
Souza throws a right and a left that Emilianko avoids nicely.
Souza throws the left hand but Emilianko avoids the punch easily.

and Souza counters with a straight right hand.

Souza tries to close the distance and clinch but Emilianko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Souza shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Emilianko as he avoids it easily.

A head kick from Souza lands but Emilianko takes it in his stride.
Emilianko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Souza wants to control but Emilianko is having none of it.

Souza is desperately trying to improve his position but Emilianko has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Emilianko avoids the attempt from Souza to control.

Emilianko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Souza is looking to escape.

Souza throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

so Emilianko counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Emilianko in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Souza working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Emilianko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Emilianko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Emilianko wants to control from the top but Souza keeps moving.
Emilianko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Souza swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Emilianko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Souza is just riding it out for now. Emilianko eventually gives up the hold.

Souza might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Emilianko kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Emilianko feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Souza's calf.

Souza throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Emilianko sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Souza throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Emilianko.
Souza takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Emilianko fails to land the takedown.
Emilianko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Souza moves away.
Emilianko scores with a hook to the body. Souza takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Souza looks to throw the jab but Emilianko is out of range.
Emilianko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Souza.
Souza ducks under a wild hook from Emilianko.

A jab lands there for Souza.

Souza shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Emilianko's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
