Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Jax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Bob Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jax's entrance music is Jax Gon Give It To Ya. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in but Jax avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Silva seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Jax is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jax is trying to maintain the position but Silva is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jax knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Jax is trying to get back to full guard.
Jax throws a strike from the bottom but Silva passes into side control!
Silva wants to control but Jax is keeping him busy.
Silva is staying tight to Jax's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Jax is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Silva is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Poor strikes thrown by Silva there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Jax is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Silva locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Jax is forced to tap!
