The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Pierre looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Pierre sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Yrjo Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pierre moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
