Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charmander Charmeleon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuriy Genov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Genov looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Charmeleon!

Charmeleon is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Genov can't control as he wanted to and Charmeleon manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Genov thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Charmeleon to regain full guard.

Genov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Genov lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Charmeleon tries to reverse the position but Genov maintains control.

Genov wants to stand but Charmeleon is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Charmeleon wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Genov somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Charmeleon tries to roll but Genov sticks to his back.

Genov is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Charmeleon can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Genov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Charmeleon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Charmeleon manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Genov throws a strike but Charmeleon avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Genov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Yuriy Genov wasn't active enough on the ground.
Charmeleon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Genov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Charmeleon as he jumps to the side.
Genov wants to clinch up but Charmeleon keeps it at a distance.

and Genov makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Charmeleon really felt that one!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Genov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Charmeleon paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A right-left combo lands from Genov.
It looks like Charmander Charmeleon has been cut.
Genov scores with a takedown into Charmeleon's guard.
Genov is breathing heavily.

Charmeleon has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Genov doesn't defend quickly enough and Charmeleon has managed to lock this one up! Can Genov escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Charmeleon on a fantastic submission victory.
