Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Javier Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dewayne Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Who shot ya. Hernandez is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hernandez misses the jab. Hernandez stuffs the takedown attempt from Williams. Williams gets slowly back to his feet. Hernandez is breathing heavily. Williams misses with a head kick.
Williams bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hernandez looks to score with a jab to the body but Williams is just out of range. The fighters circling - Hernandez throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Williams plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Javier Hernandez has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Hernandez scores with a decent looking hook. Williams shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hernandez defends it nicely. Williams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Javier Hernandez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dewayne Williams. Hernandez lands a nice hook to Williams's body. Williams takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Hernandez throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Williams decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hernandez keeps working.

The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hernandez blocking the ground and pound attempt from Williams. Williams tries to pass to full mount but Hernandez defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Williams is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Williams is looking for a kimura but Hernandez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Williams to get the leverage. Williams prevents Hernandez from improving his position. Williams seems to be working for a kimura but Hernandez defends the submission attempt. Hernandez tries to roll over but Williams keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams wants to stand up but Hernandez is controlling the position.
Williams is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hernandez is just riding it out for now. Williams eventually gives up the hold. Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hernandez defends it well. Williams is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Hernandez manages to get to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Williams wants to stand but Hernandez has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Williams trying to control but Hernandez is working from the bottom. Williams won't allow Hernandez to sweep him here. Hernandez keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully. Hernandez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dewayne Williams dominated that round. The cut man is working on Javier Hernandez's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Williams misses with a head kick.
Williams wants to clinch. Hernandez throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Williams sees it coming and avoids it easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Williams. Hernandez prevents Williams from moving into mount. Hernandez is not content to let Williams control the position. Williams is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams is trying to get an arm triangle but Hernandez is defending well. Williams tries to advance to mount but Hernandez denies him. Williams tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Williams has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hernandez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Williams wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Williams throws a strike aimed at the side of Hernandez's head but Hernandez avoids it well. Williams trying to control the position but Hernandez is working away. Williams is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hernandez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hernandez is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hernandez keeps working. Williams throws a strike aimed at the side of Hernandez's head but Hernandez avoids it well. Williams landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Williams trying to control the position but Hernandez is working away. Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hernandez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hernandez gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Williams is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Williams unloads with some shots from mount but Hernandez bucks and avoids them well.

Williams stands up from mount. Strange move. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Williams tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dewayne Williams is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Williams throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hernandez cracks Williams with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Hernandez lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dewayne Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Javier Hernandez's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Hernandez thows a left - swing and a miss! Williams throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hernandez thows a body shot but no joy. Williams throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hernandez's waist but Hernandez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Williams off to one side. Hernandez slaps away a takedown attempt from Williams, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hernandez with a jab. Williams walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Williams looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hernandez! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hernandez wants to hold on but Williams pushes him away. Hernandez can't escape the position.
Williams looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Hernandez has his hands clasped together around Williams's back. He's all about the action. Williams seems to be working for a kimura but Hernandez defends the submission attempt. Hernandez trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hernandez is not content to let Williams control the position. Williams is working for a submission of some sort.
Hernandez slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Williams stopping the sweep attempt from Hernandez.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams passes easily into side control. Nice work. Williams tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Hernandez sneaks back into half guard. Williams missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hernandez keeps working. Javier Hernandez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. It looks like Williams is going to stand back up.
Williams stalling away here and it's allowed Hernandez to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Hernandez is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Williams slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Dewayne Williams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Williams goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hernandez rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Williams's guard! Nice work there by Hernandez!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dewayne Williams. Well Williams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
