Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Quint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stu Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bennett has chosen Smuggly Ugly as his entrance music. Stu Bennett is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stu Bennett! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bennett drives through and clinches with Quint against the cage.
Bennett lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Bennett is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Quint is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Quint might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bennett trying to advance position but Quint counters by regaining guard. Bennett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quint. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bennett showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Stu Bennett. Bennett scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Quint looks to clinch and Bennett counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bennett. Bennett pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Quint is keeping the position for now. Quint is trying to control the position but Bennett postures up. Bennett won't allow Quint to sweep him here. Bennett throws a strike but Quint rolls with it and manages to sweep. Bennett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Quint is aware though and is defending well. Quint prevents Bennett from getting back to his feet. Bennett looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bennett can do anything to dispel that myth. Bennett looks gassed! Bennett seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stu Bennett dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bennett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Quint circles away quickly and effectively. Bennett is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Quint's half guard. Bennett seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Bennett wants to lay and pray for a moment but Quint keeps working. Quint is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quint is trying to maintain the position but Bennett is very close to passing his half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Stu Bennett. Bennett wants to slow Quint down by chopping away at his legs. Bennett closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Quint did well to prevent Bennett getting side control. Quint trying to hold on to Bennett's head to control him but Bennett postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Horrible takedown by Bennett or perhaps it was just good defense by Quint which made him look bad. Bennett shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bennett showed some decent athleticism there. Quint keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Quint moves into full guard.
Quint wants to stand up but Bennett is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quint wants to sweep but no luck. Bennett throws a big right hand that misses. Quint can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bennett controls the pace. Bennett preventing the sweep. Quint has his foot on Bennett's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bennett works his way back into a safe position though. Quint avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bennett wants to stand but Quint is controlling his posture from full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stu Bennett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Bennett scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Quint is looking to reverse the position. Bennett advances to full mount. Quint blocking the ground and pound. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bennett tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Quint really wants to buck Bennett off and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennett punishing his opponent with strikes. Bennett misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Bennett looking to control and managing it successfully. Quint tries to hold on but Bennett pushes him away. Quint tries to reverse the position but Bennett maintains control. Bennett is working for a guillotine from mount but Quint frees his head quite easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Quint is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bennett content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Stu Bennett wasn't active enough on the ground. Quint stuffs the takedown attempt from Bennett. Bennett gets slowly back to his feet. Quint darts in trying to clinch and Bennett counters with a takedown into side control. Quint is looking to regain half guard here but Bennett keeps moving and retains side control. Bennett moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Lucas Quint has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Stu Bennett is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Quint is trying to buck Bennett off.
And that's the end of the fight! Stu Bennett comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Bennett winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
