Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wayne Rooney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sadollah Amir!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amir tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Rooney is able to avoid easily.
Amir shoots in looking for a takedown. Rooney tries to sprawl out of it but Amir keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rooney manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rooney thows a left - swing and a miss!
Rooney misses the jab.
Amir fails to land the takedown.
Rooney throws a hook but Amir blocks it.
Amir is looking to chop away at Rooney's legs.
Rooney misses with a looping left.
Amir shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rooney pinned against the cage. Rooney gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wayne Rooney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sadollah Amir.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amir throws a leg kick but Rooney checks it.
Amir shoots in for a takedown but Rooney shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Amir lands a front kick.
Rooney blocks a low kick nicely.

Amir shoots in but no luck this time.
Rooney moves out of range of the leg kick from Amir.
Rooney lands a slapping body shot.
Amir closes the distance and clinches up with Rooney, looking for a takedown. Amir pushes Rooney against the cage but Rooney circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Amir takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Amir throws a head kick that misses.
Amir drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Horrible takedown by Amir or perhaps it was just good defense by Rooney which made him look bad.
Rooney throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Amir stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Amir looks gassed!
Amir circles away from the clinch attempt.

Rooney tries to clinch but Amir is having none of it.

Rooney fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Amir takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rooney throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Amir displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rooney throws out the jab.
Wayne Rooney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rooney lands with a hook. Amir tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Amir will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Amir avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Amir moves out of range as Rooney strikes.
Amir takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Rooney connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Amir uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rooney.

Rooney scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Amir doesn't seem bothered though.
Amir doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A jab from Rooney does it's job there.
Amir throws a head kick that misses.
Rooney really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rooney changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Rooney connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Amir's hands.
A nice combination there by Rooney.

Amir is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rooney swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Amir.
Amir is still on wobbly legs! Can Rooney finish him?
Rooney drops Amir with a straight right hand, right on the button! Rooney follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
