Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bud Macintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Guerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guerra has chosen The Sound Of Thruth - As I Lay Dying as his entrance music. Diego Guerra is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bud Macintosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Guerra!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Macintosh closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Guerra wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Macintosh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guerra keeps working.
Guerra is trying to buck Macintosh off.

Macintosh wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Guerra, who protects the arm well.

Macintosh is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Guerra has escaped the position, nice work there.
A lull in the action here.
Guerra is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Macintosh is controlling him well.

Macintosh tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Macintosh tries for a kimura but Guerra is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Guerra pushes Macintosh away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Macintosh gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Macintosh is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Guerra is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guerra is looking to regain half guard here but Macintosh keeps moving and retains side control.
Guerra is not content to let Macintosh control the position.
Guerra is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Macintosh asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Macintosh is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Guerra is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Guerra is not content to let Macintosh control the position.

Macintosh tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Guerra is pushing Macintosh's head away, looking to escape. Macintosh manages to hold on to the position though.
Macintosh advances to mount.
Macintosh tries to control but Guerra wriggling away.
Guerra is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Macintosh looking to secure an arm triangle but Guerra defends it well.
Guerra wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Guerra really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Macintosh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Macintosh content just to control the position here.

Macintosh is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Guerra to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Guerra shrugs it off.

Macintosh jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Guerra is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Guerra and Macintosh has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Macintosh tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Macintosh thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Macintosh tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Macintosh has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Macintosh is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Guerra is trying to escape and Macintosh transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Guerra is forced to tap! Nice work there by Macintosh! Very nice indeed!
