Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luka Groff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasiliy Terkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vasiliy Terkin!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terkin shoots in and drives through. Groff sprawls well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Terkin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Terkin can do anything to dispel that myth.

Terkin wants to stand but Groff is controlling the position.

Terkin will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Groff misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Terkin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Groff kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Groff thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Terkin to regain full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Groff throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Terkin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Terkin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close second round but I would say that Luka Groff will probably get the nod.

Terkin moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Groff has worked his arm free - good work by Groff!
Vasiliy Terkin has got the better of the ground game so far.
Groff managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Terkin.

Groff takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Terkin looks up at the clock and then as Groff takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Terkin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Groff is not content to let Terkin control the position.

Terkin swings around for an armbar but Groff sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Terkin's guard.

Groff is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Terkin has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Groff is looking to defend but Terkin has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Groff! Terkin pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Groff taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Vasiliy Terkin!
