Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Botelho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Botelho comes into the arena with No Love blaring out of the sound system. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Botelho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Gracie! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Botelho fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gracie tries a head kick but it misses.
Some bone on bone action there as Botelho checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Ryan Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Botelho fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gracie misses with a double jab.
Botelho wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance. Gracie tries a head kick but it misses.
Botelho shoots in and drives through. Gracie sprawls well. Gracie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gracie misses with a double jab.
Botelho blocks a head kick by Gracie.
Botelho avoids the head kick by Gracie.
Botelho avoids the body shot from Gracie.
Botelho looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gracie is fending him off so far but Botelho persists. Nope, Gracie circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Botelho. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie misses with a two punch combination.
Botelho shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracie's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Botelho is now in half guard. Botelho wants to stand up but Gracie is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Botelho seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gracie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Gracie tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Botelho has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Botelho is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Gracie has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Gracie! Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Botelho has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Botelho's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Botelho keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Botelho managing to control the position. Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Botelho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Botelho looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Botelho doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is pushing down on Botelho's leg trying to pass to half guard. Botelho is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through. Gracie sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Botelho defending well though. Botelho is breathing heavily. Gracie is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Botelho is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
