Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Lowry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nicky Boggs!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowry misses with a series of wild punches.
Lowry tries to clinch but Boggs moves out of range.

Lowry shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boggs's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boggs had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lowry defends it easily.

Lowry tries to lock up and control but Boggs gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Boggs has control of Lowry's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lowry regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lowry tries to hold on but Boggs postures up.

A close round but Nicky Boggs will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lowry wants to pass the guard but Boggs is defending well.
Boggs is looking to improve his position.
Boggs is staying active underneath Lowry, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Boggs is pressing down on Lowry's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Lowry has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Boggs is looking for a sweep. Lowry is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lowry got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boggs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lowry has managed to get both his arms back between Boggs's legs - danger averted.

Lowry is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Lowry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boggs swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
