The bell rings for round one and we are underway! EYE lands a head kick. Rayes smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Rayes swats away the attempt to clinch by EYE. Rayes tries a head kick but it misses.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Rayes. Rayes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by EYE, who protects the arm well. EYE is trying to get back to half guard. Rayes wants to lay and pray for a moment but EYE keeps working. EYE is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rayes asserts his dominance and retains side control. Rayes taking a breather here. EYE tries to buck Rayes off but Rayes is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. EYE parries the strikes from Rayes easily there. Rayes is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable EYE to escape.
EYE gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Rayes slows the pace down in half guard. EYE manages to escape and get back to his feet! EYE shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. EYE decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. A solid leg kick lands there for EYE.
EYE is looking to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rayes doesn't succeed with the takedown so EYE counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. EYE looks gassed! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rayes is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. EYE has clasped his hands together around Rayes's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Rayes is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Rayes gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Rayes tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Rayes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. EYE trying to control the position but Rayes is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rayes bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! EYE shoots and misses and Rayes counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for EYE! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rayes sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but GOLDEN EYE will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
EYE clinches up with Rayes and pushes him back against the cage. Rayes tries to score a body lock takedown but EYE shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Rayes prevents a takedown attempt there.
EYE breaks the clinch.
EYE shoots and misses and Rayes counters with a single leg into guard. EYE didn't expect that. Rayes showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Tom Rayes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rayes trying to control but EYE is working from the bottom. EYE wants to stand but Rayes is controlling the position. Rayes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Rayes working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of EYE's head.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tom Rayes wasn't doing enough on the ground. Rayes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. EYE sprawls well initially but Rayes persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Well, if Rayes is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Rayes is trying to control. EYE wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Rayes wants to free his trapped foot but EYE is holding on for dear life with his legs. EYE wants to get back to his feet. Rayes seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tom Rayes wasn't doing enough on the ground. EYE pulls out of a head kick attempt.
EYE is looking to clinch but Rayes is avoiding it.
Rayes shoots in and gets a takedown into EYE's guard. EYE keeping full guard, as Rayes tries to pass. Rayes wants to control from the top but EYE keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rayes passes into half guard. EYE wants to improve his position but Rayes is controlling well.
Rayes performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Rayes is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and EYE reverses the position - he's now on top in Rayes's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. EYE gets to his feet. Rayes looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Tom Rayes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rayes's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Rayes duly obliges. EYE closes the distance and clinches. Rayes tries to work over EYE's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. EYE prevents the takedown attempt.

EYE drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rayes pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tom Rayes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of GOLDEN EYE. Rayes lands with a nice combination. EYE backs away looking to recover.

Rayes wants to control from the top but EYE keeps moving. Rayes is in close to EYE's body, working some short punches and elbows. EYE is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rayes defends well. EYE looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rayes passes into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. EYE is not content to let Rayes control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Rayes dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Rayes misses with a takedown and EYE counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. EYE missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. EYE gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. EYE cracks Rayes with an open hand slap. EYE shoots in and bounces Rayes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Rayes wants to improve his position but instead EYE has moved into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. EYE wants to stand up but Rayes is controlling the position.
Rayes wants to get back to full guard. EYE controlling the pace. Rayes is pressing down on EYE's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. EYE with a nice head shot there. EYE stands up from guard. Let's bang! The fight stays on the outside here - Rayes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. EYE shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rayes as he jumps to the side. Rayes gets a takedown into half guard. Rayes is looking to take a break and control but EYE is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rayes stops EYE from getting back to his feet.
EYE tries to roll over but Rayes keeps him under control. EYE is refusing to be controlled, as Rayes sits in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. EYE kicks Rayes off and gets back to his feet. No luck for EYE with that takedown attempt. EYE tries for a takedown but Rayes circles away easily and Rayes counters with a two punch combo. Tom Rayes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of GOLDEN EYE. Rayes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rayes looks to land a combination but EYE avoids it well. EYE fails with the takedown and Rayes counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rayes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rayes looking to sit in guard and control but EYE gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rayes keeping moving, preventing EYE from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rayes pulls EYE in to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! GOLDEN EYE comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think EYE has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
