Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ashley Banjo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Stark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ashley Banjo! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stark slaps away a takedown attempt from Banjo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Banjo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Banjo fails to land the takedown. Stark shoots in for a takedown but Banjo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Stark pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Banjo shoots and misses and Stark counters with a shoot takedown. Banjo fights it but they end up in guard. Frank Stark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ashley Banjo. Stark is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Banjo wants to stand and escape but Stark is having none of it. Stark stands and steps away. Banjo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Banjo is looking to clinch. Banjo wants to clinch. Stark closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Banjo did well to prevent Stark getting side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stark tries to pass to full mount but Banjo defends it. Banjo tries to kick Stark off but Stark keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Stark thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Banjo punching from the bottom.
Banjo is looking to improve his position.
Stark not landing any meaningful shots this time. Banjo is trying to maintain the position but Stark is very close to passing his half guard. Banjo looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Stark seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ashley Banjo was stalling too much, according to the referee. A momentary lapse in concentration from Banjo enables Stark to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Banjo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Stark wants to control from the top but Banjo keeps moving. Banjo wants to stand but Stark is controlling the position. Stark forces his way into half guard. Banjo is looking to control Stark's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Banjo avoid being mounted? Banjo is trying to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stark performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Banjo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stark. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stark's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Stark has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Frank Stark just wasn't active enough. Banjo wants to clinch and Stark counters with a shoot takedown. Banjo fights it but they end up in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Banjo has momentary wrist control but Stark slips an elbow through the middle. Stark is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stark accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Stark not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Frank Stark has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Banjo throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stark counters with a single leg into guard. Banjo didn't expect that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Stark dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Stark throws a nice head kick!
Stark drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Banjo is trying to control Stark's posture but Stark avoids it. Stark has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Banjo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stark looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Stark tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Banjo scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stark lands a nice looking body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Stark looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Banjo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Stark is figuring out what he wants to do next. Stark working Banjo over with strikes. Banjo is staying active underneath Stark, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Stark looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Stark is working hard here to advance position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Stark is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Banjo!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banjo tries to get back to half guard but can't. Stark lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Banjo is squirming around, avoiding Stark's attempts to control the action. Stark sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Banjo is trying to escape the mount.
Stark looking to control but Banjo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banjo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Stark controlling the pace for now. Banjo is squirming around, avoiding Stark's attempts to control the action. Stark thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Banjo wants to hold on but Stark pushes him away. Banjo is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Stark looking to control and managing it successfully. Banjo is squirming around, avoiding Stark's attempts to control the action. Banjo working to try and regain half guard.
Stark lands a heavy elbow. Stark lands with some strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Stark dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Stark tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Banjo tries to clinch but Stark moves away and Stark holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Banjo goes for a takedown attempt but Stark pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Banjo forces Stark back against the cage and clinches. Stark is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Banjo wants to break the clinch but can't.
Stark effectively controlling the action here. Stark breaks the clinch.
Banjo misses with a low kick as Stark jumps back. Banjo throws a lazy head kick so Stark counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Stark trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stark trying to control the position from guard on top but Banjo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Banjo pulls Stark in close to prevent any damage. Banjo wants to stand but Stark is controlling the position. Banjo striking off his back but it's not causing Stark any problems. Stark stands and steps away. Banjo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Stark shoots in but no luck this time. The fight stays on the outside here - Banjo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Banjo closes the distance looking to clinch and Stark counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stark stopping the sweep attempt from Banjo. Banjo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Stark postures up.
Stark is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Banjo can do to turn this around? Banjo looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Stark puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Stark takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banjo wants to control but Stark is keeping busy and won't allow it. Stark seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Banjo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stark is working away from the top position though. Frank Stark overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stark lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Stark controlling the pace.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Banjo wants to clinch. Stark fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stark is looking to take a break and control but Banjo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Banjo is trying to stand.
And that's the end of the fight! Frank Stark showed his dominance in that final round. Well Stark has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
