Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Guevara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zak Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hip Hop. Ernesto Guevara has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zak Simmons!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guevara throws a head kick but Simmons moves out of range.
Simmons getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Simmons checks the leg kick.
Simmons throws a nice looking combination but Guevara bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Guevara is defended easily by Simmons.
Simmons throws a lazy head kick
and Guevara counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Guevara is trying to control the action in half guard but Simmons is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Simmons tries to roll over but Guevara keeps him under control.
Guevara content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Guevara has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Guevara working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Guevara lands with some strikes.
Simmons tries to improve his position but instead Guevara has taken his back!
Guevara controls the action.
Guevara working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Simmons is doing well to defend. Guevara seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Simmons is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ernesto Guevara!
