Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Bukowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thiago Carvalho! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Bukowski throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Bukowski misses with a two punch combination.
Charles Bukowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bukowski looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Carvalho! Bukowski in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Carvalho slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Bukowski wants to take a breather but Carvalho is having none of it. Carvalho should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bukowski tries to stand but his arm is trapped. That's one minute gone in the round. Carvalho has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bukowski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Carvalho lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bukowski! Bukowski tries to lock up and control but Carvalho gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Carvalho swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bukowski is now in Carvalho's guard. A big mistake from Carvalho there, giving up the dominant position! Carvalho looking for a guillotine here but Bukowski defends easily.
Bukowski decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Carvalho, up you get!

Bukowski gets the takedown into side control. Bukowski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carvalho on the ground. Bukowski wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carvalho, who protects the arm well. Bukowski is breathing heavily. Carvalho tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bukowski wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Carvalho is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Carvalho is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Carvalho is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. A combination from Carvalho does no damage. Bukowski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Carvalho keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Bukowski lands with a nice combination. Carvalho backs away looking to recover. Bukowski defending well as Carvalho loads up on a big left hand. Carvalho uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bukowski.
Carvalho gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bukowski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carvalho gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bukowski counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Carvalho wants to improve his position but Bukowski is controlling well.
Carvalho looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Bukowski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carvalho doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bukowski. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carvalho manages to get to full guard.

Bukowski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carvalho swivels though and keeps the full guard. Carvalho looking for a guillotine here but Bukowski defends easily.

Thiago Carvalho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
