Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sacarias Vintage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor comes to the cage accompanied by Peanut Butter Jelly Time. The crowd seem to be enjoying Vintage's choice of entrance music: The Green Anaconda Song. Simon Taylor had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Simon Taylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sacarias Vintage! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor throws the left hand but Vintage avoids the punch easily. Vintage wants to clinch up but Taylor keeps it at a distance. Decent striking displayed by Vintage there. A slapping leg kick lands for Taylor.
Vintage looks to land a combination but Taylor avoids it well. Vintage fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Taylor falls off balance throwing a combination
and Vintage counters with a two punch combo. Vintage shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Vintage shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Taylor but Taylor pushes him off and we're back to square one. Simon Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sacarias Vintage. Vintage throws a head kick but Taylor moves out of range.

Vintage looking to hit a scissor sweep but Taylor is one step ahead there. Vintage utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Vintage being controlled here, momentarily. Taylor has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Vintage looking for a sweep. Not yet Vintage, not yet. Vintage looks gassed! Vintage is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Taylor slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Vintage trying to keep a closed guard but Taylor is proving a slippery customer.

Taylor lands a couple of digs. Taylor trying to control the position from guard on top but Vintage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vintage controls Taylor momentarily but Taylor frees himself. Taylor throwing strikes from guard but Vintage blocks nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor stands and throws Vintage's legs to the side, diving into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Taylor lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Taylor tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Vintage takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Taylor prevents Vintage from escaping the position. Taylor controls the position. Vintage looking for a sweep but Taylor has passed into full mount! Oh no! Vintage tries to buck Taylor off but he can't manage it. Vintage regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vintage is trying to get back to full guard. Vintage gets full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vintage has his foot on Taylor's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Taylor works his way back into a safe position though. Taylor tries to free his leg and advance position but Vintage is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simon Taylor dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Taylor misses with the combination.
Taylor shoots in for a double leg but Vintage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Taylor closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Taylor lands in his opponent's guard. Vintage working a defensive guard here.
Vintage lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Taylor! Vintage looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Vintage moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Taylor has worked his arm free - good work by Taylor!
Taylor wants to control but Vintage postures up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Taylor is trying to get back to full guard. Vintage trying to pass the guard but Taylor defending well. Taylor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Taylor closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. You can see the frustration on Vintage's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Simon Taylor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Taylor controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vintage tries to bench press Taylor off him but Taylor keeps the position. Taylor controls the position. Vintage is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Vintage manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Vintage gets back to full guard.
Taylor wants to control from the top but Vintage keeps moving. Taylor showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Vintage manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Taylor manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Vintage with a flurry of punches that miss. Taylor keeping moving, preventing Vintage from controlling successfully. Vintage would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Vintage passes easily into side control. Nice work. Vintage tries for a kimura but Taylor is defending well. Taylor regains half guard. Vintage is trying for a kimura here. Taylor looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Vintage wins by kimura!
