Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keijo Kustavilainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keijo Kustavilainen!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bush shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kustavilainen napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Bush working away.
Bush in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Kustavilainen tries to buck Bush off but Bush is having none of it.
Bush controls the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kustavilainen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bush wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Bush has control of an arm but Kustavilainen manages to advance to Bush's back!

Kustavilainen has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Kustavilainen is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Bush defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bush rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Bush is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kustavilainen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kustavilainen's back!
Kustavilainen wants to escape the position.

Kustavilainen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Bush biding his time, looking for the opening.
Kustavilainen wants to escape the position.
Bush just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Kustavilainen trying to control but not successfully.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bush biding his time, controlling Kustavilainen.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Bush dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Kustavilainen swinging wildly here.
Bush shoots for a takedown but Kustavilainen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bush closes the distance and clinches up with Kustavilainen, looking for a takedown. Bush pushes Kustavilainen against the cage but Kustavilainen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Kustavilainen as Bush shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Bush. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Come on Kustavilainen - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Kustavilainen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bush has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Bush goes for a takedown attempt but Kustavilainen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bush circles away from the clinch attempt.

Bush fails to land the takedown.
Kustavilainen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Bush counters with a single leg into guard. Kustavilainen didn't expect that.
Kustavilainen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kustavilainen seems to be working for a kimura but Bush defends the submission attempt.

Bush is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kustavilainen pulls his head out easily.

Kustavilainen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Kustavilainen wants to stand up but Bush is controlling the position.
Kustavilainen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Kustavilainen looking to take Bush's back but Bush rolls and after a scramble, Bush ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Bush to escape a tricky position.

Kustavilainen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bush is one step ahead there.
Kustavilainen wants to improve his position but instead Bush has moved into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bush passes into side control, despite Kustavilainen's attempt to control the position.
Kustavilainen is trying to get back to his feet.
Kustavilainen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bush wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Kustavilainen wants to control but Bush postures up.
Kustavilainen is looking to reverse the position.
Bush remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Kustavilainen is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Bush is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that David Bush will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Kustavilainen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bush doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kustavilainen counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Kustavilainen tries to stand and escape but Bush is controlling the position.

Kustavilainen is trying to work for a kimura but Bush is defending well.
Bush is refusing to be controlled, as Kustavilainen sits in half guard.
Kustavilainen is just content to waste time from the top position. Bush takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Kustavilainen wants to get up but he can't break Bush's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bush is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Kustavilainen frees his head nicely. Oh but Bush has switched to an armbar! Kustavilainen is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
