Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trent Quo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maciej Szmyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Szmyd has chosen Enter Sandman - Metallica as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Maciej Szmyd!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quo scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
It looks like Maciej Szmyd has been cut.
Szmyd wants to clinch.
Quo throws a right and a left that Szmyd avoids nicely.
Quo dodges the punch combination from Szmyd.
Szmyd changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

A punch combination from Quo misses.
Szmyd darts in and clinches Quo up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Szmyd keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Quo's efforts to push away.
Szmyd breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Szmyd is looking to clinch but Quo is avoiding it.
Quo throws a left and a right that both miss
and Szmyd counters by moving into the clinch.
Szmyd is trying to break the clinch but Quo has him pressed against the cage.
Szmyd breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Quo tests Szmyd's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Quo lands a nice shot that snaps Szmyd's head back.
A decent looking cross lands there for Quo.
Quo blocks a head kick by Szmyd.
Szmyd takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
That has opened up Maciej Szmyd's cut even more.
Trent Quo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A low kick from Quo is predictable there
and Szmyd counters with a nice leg kick.
Quo drops Szmyd with a beautiful combination! Szmyd stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Quo is looking for the KO!
Szmyd is rocked!
Szmyd looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Szmyd misses with an uppercut.
Szmyd is still on wobbly legs! Can Quo finish him?
Quo attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Szmyd tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Quo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Szmyd seems to have recovered his senses.
Quo drops Szmyd with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Szmyd looks back up at him and smiles so Quo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Quo misses with a series of wild punches.
Szmyd throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Quo walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Szmyd drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Quo swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Szmyd's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Trent Quo!
