Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Smash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edd Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smash comes to the cage accompanied by Karazy- Swamp Music. Edd Stone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dustin Smash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edd Stone!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smash is looking to clinch.
Stone dives in and grabs Smash's left leg, looking for a takedown. Smash pushes down on Stone's head and hops out.
Smash throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Smash tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Smash misses with a takedown attempt

and Stone counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Smash's guard now.
Smash trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Stone working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Smash tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Smash wants to stand and escape but Stone is having none of it.

Smash has his feet on Stone's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Stone feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Stone trying to control but Smash is working from the bottom.

Smash is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stone jumps guard but Smash stands there with Stone around his waist. Stone gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Stone throws an elbow but misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stone is trying to drag Smash to the mat but Smash just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Dustin Smash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edd Stone.

Stone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stone blocks a head kick by Smash.

Smash scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone is pressing down on Smash's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Stone working a defensive guard here.
Smash throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Smash tries to stand but Stone is controlling from the bottom.
Stone is trying to keep Smash in close.
Smash lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Smash lands a couple of digs.
Stone looks gassed!

Smash wants to get up but he can't break Stone's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Smash stands up over Stone, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Stone wants to stand up but Smash is controlling him.
Smash forces his way into half guard.
Smash working Stone over with strikes.
Smash wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stone keeps working.
Smash lands with a punch from half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smash passes to full mount!
Stone should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A nice elbow there by Smash.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stone is working to get back to half guard.
Smash working the ground and pound effectively.
Smash looking to finish Stone with some ground and pound. This is bad for Stone!
Smash has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Smash has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stone's face.
Smash lands a nice shot to the head.
Smash fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


Stone is rocked!


It looks like Edd Stone has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smash landing strikes from the mount and Stone is in trouble!
Stone is still in real trouble! Can Smash finish him?
Smash unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Stone wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Smash celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
