Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dallas Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil The Phantom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green comes to the cage accompanied by City and Colour - Comin' Home. The Phantom comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Super Freak kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dallas Green has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phil The Phantom! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Columbo Gatti and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from The Phantom. Green lands the left hand. The Phantom misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Good standup being displayed there by Green as he connects with a hook. Green bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps The Phantom's head backwards. Green lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. The Phantom shoots in for a takedown but Green shows good takedown defense. Dallas Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil The Phantom. The Phantom closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Green quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Green manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The Phantom throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Green works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The Phantom keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Green's head. The Phantom tries to free his leg and advance position but Green is retaining full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Green holds on and takes a little breather. The Phantom passes into half guard. The Phantom is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Green reverses the position - he's now on top in The Phantom's guard. The Phantom keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A nice leg kick lands there from Green. The Phantom tries for a takedown but Green sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. He's obviously looking to slow The Phantom down. Green scores with a jab to the jaw. Phil The Phantom is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. This has been an exciting period of action! Green feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to The Phantom's calf. The Phantom shoots in for a takedown but Green shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Green throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

That sent The Phantom stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Dallas Green is winning the standup battle so far. Green is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Green cracks The Phantom with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. That kick from Green tenderised The Phantom's leg. The Phantom is trying to keep his angry face on. Green throws a quick inside leg kick. The Phantom is trying to control the position but Green postures up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The Phantom striking off his back but it's not causing Green any problems. Green stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows The Phantom to get to his feet. The Phantom fails with the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Green circles away from the clinch attempt and Green counters with a straight right hand. Jab from Green. The Phantom has his takedown stuffed and Green counters with a nice uppercut. The Phantom misses with a takedown attempt and Green counters with a low kick, right behind The Phantom 's knee. Green lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Green throws a right and a left that The Phantom avoids nicely. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! The Phantom crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Green - the referee stops the clock and The Phantom gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Green. The Phantom manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Green throws a nice outside leg kick. A thudding body kick lands there by Green!
Green lands with a nice combination. The Phantom backs away looking to recover. Green moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Green lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Green. The Phantom takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The Phantom tries for a takedown but Green circles away easily and Green counters with a lovely straight right hand! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Green works the jab nicely. The Phantom misses with a takedown and The Phantom takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. The Phantom has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Green.

He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Green cracks The Phantom with an open hand slap. The Phantom takes a body punch but keeps moving. Green connects with a high kick. Green connects with an inside leg kick. Green throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck The Phantom on the side of the head. A head kick misses from Green. The Phantom tries for a takedown but Green circles away easily and Green finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Green connects with a body shot. The Phantom on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. The Phantom shoots and misses and Green counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The Phantom is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Green.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Phantom doesn't succeed with the takedown and Green counters with a nice low kick that buckles The Phantom's knee momentarily. Green delivers a nice body kick. Green throws a nice outside leg kick. Green feints a jab promting The Phantom to slip. Green then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. The Phantom slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. The Phantom misses with a takedown enabling Green to counter with a crisp jab. The Phantom gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Green lands with a shot to the body. Green drives through and clinches with The Phantom against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Green manages to break the clinch.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Green. This has been an exciting period of action! Green explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. The Phantom with a poor takedown and Green counters with a head kick.
