Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Landon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Landon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Beautiful People. Ricardo Silva had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, David Schapiro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Silva looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Landon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.
Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Landon.
Landon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Landon persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
Landon shoots in but no luck this time.
Ricardo Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Landon.

Landon shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Landon looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.
Landon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Silva wants to clinch.
Silva closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Landon is trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva tries to advance to mount but Landon denies him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Landon misses with a takedown attempt
and Silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Landon pushes Silva off looking to stand but Silva dives back in and keeps control.
Landon kicks off Silva and gets to his feet.
Landon tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Landon's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Landon wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Landon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Landon is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Landon is working an open guard so Silva takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Landon misses with a takedown attempt
and Silva counters with a takedown into side control.
Landon is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Silva asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Silva happy to just control the position for now.
Landon avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Silva.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Landon is trying to buck Silva off.
Landon tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Silva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Landon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Landon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
Landon misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Horrible takedown by Landon or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.
Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Landon is trying to stand up.
Ricardo Silva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Silva is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Landon scores with a decent looking hook.

and Silva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Landon won't be happy with that.

Landon wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Landon is not content to let Silva control the position.
Landon is trying to buck Silva off.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Landon tries to land a front kick but Silva steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Silva misses with a body kick.
Landon misses with a low kick as Silva jumps back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Silva counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Landon looks like he's trying to stand up.
Silva decides to stand up.
Ricardo Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Whack! Landon lands a heavy head kick that drops Silva. The ref tackles Landon to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Silva was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Anthony Landon!
