Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Slayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Douglas Brown is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Slayton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Brown!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Slayton. That's going to slow Brown down.
Slayton lands a nice shot that snaps Brown's head back.
Brown takes one to the side of the head.
Brown tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Slayton was well out of range. Poor timing from Brown.
Slayton cracks Brown with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brown.
Slayton tests Brown's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Slayton lands with a straight right. Brown didn't see that one coming.
Brown throws a lazy right hand but Slayton sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Brown stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Slayton.
Brown shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Slayton sprawls well. Slayton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brown gets slowly back to his feet.

Brown closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Slayton to the mat! Slayton manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Slayton is retaining full guard.
Slayton wants to sweep but no luck.

Brown controls from within his opponent's guard.
Brown sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Slayton's guard.
Slayton trying to control but Brown postures up.
Slayton is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Brown passes to side control.

Brown is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Slayton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Slayton is letting Brown control him for a moment.
Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slayton keeps working.

Brown is trying to get an arm triangle but Slayton is defending well.
Brown looks gassed!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brown tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Brown controls the position from side control.
You can see the frustration on Slayton's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Brown is looking to take a break and control but Slayton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Slayton stops Brown from passing to mount.
Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slayton keeps working.
Brown tries to move into full mount but can't pass Slayton's legs.

Brown is trying to get an arm triangle but Slayton is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew Slayton dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Slayton with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Slayton scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Brown looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Slayton scores with a hook.
Slayton feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Brown's calf.
Douglas Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Slayton.
Slayton steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Brown.
No luck for Brown with that takedown attempt.
Brown throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Brown drops his hands momentarily and Slayton takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Brown gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Slayton.
Brown is breathing heavily.
Slayton scores with a decent looking hook.
Brown fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Slayton avoids it really well and circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Donk. Slayton catches Brown right on the button with a cross.


Brown is rocked!
Slayton connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Slayton is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Slayton works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Brown is still on wobbly legs! Can Slayton finish him?

Slayton feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Brown sprawling to the canvas! Brown rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Slayton finish him?!
Slayton connects with a nice cross there... Brown is looking wobbly and Slayton recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Brown to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Slayton jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Andrew Slayton!
