Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyrus Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and pilli farkut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tyrus Thunder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunder keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from farkut.
Thunder walks into a stiff left hand from farkut.
It looks like Tyrus Thunder has been cut.
farkut throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Thunder slips under a jab from farkut.
Thunder doesn't manage to clinch there - farkut circles away.
Thunder fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. farkut sprawls well initially but Thunder persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Thunder wants to control but farkut is keeping him busy.
Thunder will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyrus Thunder will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

farkut throws a combination. Thunder tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
farkut defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Thunder.

Thunder jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as farkut walks away with a smile on his face. Thunder gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Thunder keeps the fight in the clinch, despite farkut's efforts to push away.

Thunder creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through farkut's defenses.
Thunder escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Thunder takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Thunder really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
farkut lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Thunder is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so farkut is just riding it out for now. Thunder eventually gives up the hold.

That's time! Thunder's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Thunder feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Thunder pushes farkut away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, farkut gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Tyrus Thunder overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
farkut decides to stand back up.
farkut might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tyrus Thunder.
I think Thunder has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
