Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos The Animal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying The Animal's choice of entrance music: You canīt escape the great Cornholio. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos The Animal!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Animal cracks Young with a right hand to the side of the head.
Young tries to land a front kick but The Animal steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Young lands a big head kick that sends The Animal tumbling to the mat! Young takes a step backwards and waves The Animal back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Carlos The Animal has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Young throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The Animal moves into range and clinches up with Young.
The Animal successfully pulls guard.
The Animal wants to sweep but no luck.
Young stands and steps away. The Animal gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The Animal throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Young throws a sloppy head kick and The Animal moves out of range easily.
Young throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Young lands a left and a right that send The Animal crashing to the mat, dazed. Young thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Young has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The Animal dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gerald Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Animal gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A short right from The Animal on the inside.
A frustrated look appears on Young's face as he tries to break the clinch.
The Animal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The Animal throws a series of strikes that have Young backpedaling.
It looks like Gerald Young has been cut.
The Animal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Young is breathing heavily.
The Animal landing a few strikes.
Young on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Young tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Young is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Young dodges the ground and pound from The Animal.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Animal is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Young will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The Animal lands some shots froms side control.
Young takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Young is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, The Animal asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The Animal cracks Young with a big elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Young tries to escape but The Animal is in control.
Young taking a bit of punishment here - The Animal scoring with strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Young on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The Animal scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Young to see if he's OK.
Young is rocked!
The Animal cracks Young with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! The Animal immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Young is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by The Animal!
