Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Asaki Hioko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erico Plaza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Asaki Hioko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Erico Plaza! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hioko looks to score with a jab to the body but Plaza is just out of range. Plaza gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hioko counters with an outside leg kick.
Hioko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hioko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Plaza manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Plaza uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hioko. Plaza misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hioko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Hioko tries a head kick but it misses.
Erico Plaza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Plaza throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hioko pivots, looking for a leg kick but Plaza is out of range and Hioko settles back down. Plaza misses with a lunging right hand
and Hioko counters with a right hand to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Plaza is looking to slow Hioko down with leg kicks. Plaza tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hioko is able to avoid easily. Hioko throws a nice inside leg kick. Plaza swings away with a leg kick that misses. Hioko connects with a good right hand that stumbles Plaza. Plaza circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

and Hioko counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Hioko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hioko wants it to stay on the feet. Asaki Hioko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erico Plaza. Plaza tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hioko swivels and escapes. Hioko looks to score with a jab to the body but Plaza is just out of range. Hioko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Plaza moves out of range as Hioko strikes. Hioko fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Hioko just misses with a punch to the body.
Plaza staying out of range there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hioko scores with a jab to the head.
Plaza tries a low kick but Hioko avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Asaki Hioko dominated that round. That's time! Hioko's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hioko attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Plaza dives in and grabs Hioko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hioko pushes down on Plaza's head and hops out. Hioko ducks under a wild hook from Plaza. Hioko stuffs the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Plaza looks to clinch and Hioko counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Plaza thinking. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Plaza.
That's one minute gone in the round. Plaza jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hioko ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Plaza throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Plaza misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hioko thows a body shot but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Plaza swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hioko throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Plaza misses with an uppercut
and Hioko counters with a thumping low kick. Plaza throws a low kick, looking for Hioko's leg but Hioko calmly moves out of range. Plaza throws a right hand that Hioko ducks under and follows up with a left that Hioko also avoids with ease. Asaki Hioko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jab by Plaza. Plaza misses with a body shot
and Plaza takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Plaza ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hioko moves away. Plaza shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hioko as he jumps to the side. Asaki Hioko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erico Plaza. Plaza shoots in for a double leg but Hioko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hioko looks to score with a jab to the body but Plaza is just out of range. Plaza moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Plaza walks into a jab. Plaza misses with a few strikes there.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Asaki Hioko dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Plaza fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Asaki Hioko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hioko connects with a solid leg kick. Plaza shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hioko as he avoids it easily. Asaki Hioko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erico Plaza. Plaza shoots in but no luck this time. Plaza throws an off balance right hand
and Hioko counters with a lovely straight right hand! A looping hook to the body misses from Hioko. Plaza does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Plaza shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hioko pinned against the cage. Hioko gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Plaza misses with a hook to the body
and Hioko counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Erico Plaza has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hioko misses the shot to the body. Plaza throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Plaza keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hioko scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Plaza uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hioko.

and Hioko counters with a nice body shot. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Plaza connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Hioko dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Asaki Hioko showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hioko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
