Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Woolard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaromir Jag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kyle Woolard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jaromir Jag!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woolard circles away from the clinch attempt.

Woolard tries to keep at a distance but Jag has taken the fight into the clinch.
Woolard is trying to push Jag away but Jag has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Jag breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jag scores with a head kick. Woolard tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Jag lands with an overhand left.
Some wild striking there from Woolard.
Jag moves in looking to clinch but Woolard pushes him off.
Woolard throws a hook to the side of Jag's head but Jag sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Woolard shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Jag kicks Woolard off and gets back to his feet.
Woolard stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Woolard swats away the attempt to clinch by Jag.
Jag takes one to the side of the head.

Woolard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jag was covering up waiting for the punch and Woolard finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Woolard stays in close to Jag's body and controls the position.

Woolard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jag swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jag is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Woolard remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
