Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Panos Rasgadus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Taktarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oleg Taktarov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Panos Rasgadus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oleg Taktarov! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taktarov misses with a wild combination.
Taktarov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Rasgadus fails to land the takedown. Rasgadus looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Rasgadus is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Rasgadus trying to pass the guard but Taktarov defending well. Taktarov tries to roll over but Rasgadus keeps him under control. Taktarov looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Rasgadus passes the guard and advances to mount! Taktarov stops Rasgadus from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rasgadus swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Taktarov is now in Rasgadus's guard. A big mistake from Rasgadus there, giving up the dominant position! Taktarov wanted to stand there but Rasgadus had control of the position. Rasgadus is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rasgadus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rasgadus works his way into full mount! Rasgadus is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Taktarov can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taktarov is wriggling around trying to escape.

Taktarov is trying to escape the mount but Rasgadus keeps good control and instead manages to take Taktarov's back.
Taktarov is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet. Taktarov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Taktarov throws a leg kick but Rasgadus checks it. Rasgadus looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Taktarov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rasgadus counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Taktarov looks gassed! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rasgadus is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Taktarov sees it coming and defends easily. Rasgadus moves into full mount! Taktarov won't be happy about that!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rasgadus working for a submission but Taktarov is keeping him at bay. Rasgadus takes Taktarov's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Taktarov is in trouble. Taktarov trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Rasgadus is persistently looking for the submission but Taktarov is defending it well.
Rasgadus working for a choke but Taktarov is defending well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rasgadus looking to break Taktarov's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Taktarov remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Rasgadus will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rasgadus avoiding Taktarov 's attempts to control his hands. Rasgadus is looking for the choke from the back position but Taktarov is controlling his hands well. Taktarov defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Rasgadus's arms. Taktarov won't enjoy being in this position. Rasgadus looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Taktarov is tapping - it's over boys! Rasgadus picks up the submission victory!
