Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Parkh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Branislav Cena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cena is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: michael gray-the weekend. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Branislav Cena!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cena tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Parkh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cena is fending him off so far but Parkh persists. Nope, Cena circles away and we're back to standing.
Cena moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Parkh connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.


It looks like Branislav Cena has been cut.

Parkh closes the distance and clinches.
Parkh lands a right hand that snaps the head of Cena backwards.
Parkh has Cena pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cena manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Parkh tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cena just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Parkh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Parkh on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Cena tries to pull guard but Parkh holds him up against the cage and eventually Cena drops back down to his feet.
Cena is pressed up against the cage. Parkh has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cena down to the mat. Cena avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Cena throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Parkh's waist but Parkh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cena off to one side.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Parkh scores with a leg kick.
Cena tries to clinch but Parkh moves out of range.

Cena has Parkh up against the cage in a clinch.
Parkh lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Parkh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Parkh throws a shot to the body.
Parkh fails with the takedown

so Cena counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Parkh is breathing heavily.

Parkh seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Cena trying to control but Parkh is working from the bottom.
Parkh controlling the position.
Cena trying to control the position from guard on top but Parkh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cena tries to score a power double leg takedown but Parkh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cena somewhat.

Parkh shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cena napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Cena takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Parkh lands an elbow.

Parkh is trying to get an arm triangle but Cena is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parkh advances nicely into full mount.

Parkh jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cena manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Cena can't do much from the bottom here.

Parkh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cena keeps working.
Parkh lands a decent elbow from side control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cena is looking for a sweep.
Cena bucks up and tries to throw Parkh off but instead Parkh has got his back!
Cena staying busy and making it hard for Parkh to control.

Cena is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Parkh gets his way!

A lull in the action here.
You can see the frustration on Cena's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Parkh is landing with strikes from the back.
Parkh wants to control but Cena is keeping busy.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Parkh wants to clinch

and Cena moves into the clinch.
Cena gets underhooks to prevent Parkh's takedown attempt.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Cena tries to score a body lock takedown but Parkh shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Parkh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cena can do anything to dispel that myth.

Parkh cracks Cena with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Parkh pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Parkh is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Cena has managed to escape the submission attempt.
BOOM! Parkh connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Parkh makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Parkh stands up and beckons Cena to his feet.
Cena takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Parkh wants to pass the guard but Cena is defending well.
Cena tries to roll over but Parkh keeps him under control.
Branislav Cena has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sam Parkh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Parkh decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Parkh, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
