Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Buttercup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Rocket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rocket's choice of entrance music: Riot Time- Powerman 5000. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buttercup throws a front kick aimed at Rocket's knee but Rocket avoids it well.
Rocket fails with a takedown attempt.
Rocket dodges the punch combination from Buttercup.

Buttercup misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Buttercup throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Rocket because Buttercup loaded up on that one.
Rocket is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Buttercup ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Buttercup no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Rocket wants to get up but he can't break Buttercup's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Rocket really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buttercup. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Rocket's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Buttercup takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
