Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Abe Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bert Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakamura comes to the cage accompanied by Enter the Ninja - Die Antwoord. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Abe Nakamura!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bert Compton!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Compton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Compton lands with a short shot to the head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Compton.

Compton manages to break the clinch.

Nakamura shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Compton's guard.
Compton keeping full guard, as Nakamura tries to pass.
Nakamura might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Compton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nakamura slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Nakamura has gone for a leg lock! Compton slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nakamura's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Compton looking to sit in guard and control but Nakamura gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Nakamura slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Compton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Nakamura is stalling in the full guard.
Compton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Nakamura is pushing down on Compton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Compton is fighting to maintain full guard but Nakamura has managed to sneak the leg through.
Nakamura prevents Compton from improving his position.

Nakamura is working for a kimura but Compton is defending it quite comfortably.
Nakamura looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Nakamura is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Well, if Nakamura is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Nakamura trying to control the action but Compton is working from the bottom.

Nakamura is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Compton sees it coming and defends easily.
Nakamura trying to control from half guard but Compton is working away.
Nakamura content to control rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Nakamura looks to land a strike but Compton avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Compton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nakamura is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Nakamura is pushing down on Compton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Compton is fighting to maintain full guard but Nakamura has managed to sneak the leg through.
Compton wants to control but Nakamura is keeping busy.
Compton is refusing to be controlled, as Nakamura sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Abe Nakamura dominated that round.

Compton misses with a hook. Nakamura ducked under it nicely.
Bert Compton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Compton throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Abe Nakamura has been cut.
Compton tries to close the distance and clinch but Nakamura swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Nakamura looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Compton!
Nakamura tries to control but Compton wriggling away.
Nakamura is really struggling to control Compton but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Nakamura controlling the pace for now.

Nakamura looking to isolate an arm here. Compton doesn't see it coming and as Nakamura extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Nakamura!
