Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kosuke Soseki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, William Uy! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soseki lands with a straight right. Uy didn't see that one coming. Soseki throws a looping overhand right but Uy ducks down to avoid it. Uy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Uy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Soseki sprawls well. Soseki wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Uy gets slowly back to his feet. Uy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Soseki tries to avoid it but Uy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Soseki to the ground. Soseki escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kosuke Soseki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Uy. Uy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Soseki avoids it really well and circles away. Uy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Uy tries to shoot in for a takedown. Uy pushes Soseki against the cage but Soseki circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Soseki slaps away a takedown attempt from Uy, before circling back to the center of the mat.
