Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beck tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gurgel fails to land the takedown.
Beck takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Gurgel gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Gurgel controls Beck momentarily but Beck frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gurgel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Beck can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Beck gets to his feet. Gurgel looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Gurgel tries for a takedown but Beck circles away easily
and Beck counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Gurgel is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Beck distracts Gurgel with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Beck postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beck slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Gurgel is working an open guard so Beck takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Beck gets a clinch.
Gurgel is pressed against the cage. Beck pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Gurgel! Two more big strikes from Beck and Gurgel crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Blake Beck!
