Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Ritter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Ritter could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to DJ Nelson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Ritter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DJ Nelson! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ritter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ritter misses with a double jab.
Ritter scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Nelson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ritter's guard. Nelson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nelson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nelson stands up and waves to Ritter to follow him. Nelson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ritter tries to clinch but Nelson is having none of it. Ritter throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Daniel Ritter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ritter throws a right hand that Nelson ducks under and follows up with a left that Nelson also avoids with ease. Nelson scores with a spinning back kick! Ritter is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ritter gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nelson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ritter swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nelson scoring with some ground and pound. Nelson wants to pass the guard but Ritter is keeping the position. Nelson stands and throws Ritter's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nelson tries to advance to mount but can't. Nelson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Nelson trying to control the action but Ritter is working from the bottom. Ritter managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Nelson.
Nelson advances to full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Ritter blocking the ground and pound. Nelson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Ritter because Nelson loaded up on that one. Nelson has control of Ritter's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ritter regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ritter is in a horrible position here. Nelson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ritter takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Nelson's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
